Transition Initiative Newcastle Presents a brand new film:

IN TRANSITION

FROM OIL DEPENDENCY TO LOCAL RESILIENCE

Wednesday 09 September 2009 at 7.30 pm

at the Star and Shadow Cinema, Stepney Bank, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne

£4/£3

The première of this inspiring documentary which charts what could be our best chance of surviving peak oil and climate change : the exponential growth of the Transition Movement.  Packed with footage of practical projects from across the UK and beyond, this is a must for anyone looking for realistic solutions and a path to a fossil-fuel-free future!

Members of Transition Newcastle and other Transition Towns in the North East will be present to take your questions.

Getting there: 5 minutes from Manors metro. Buses 6B, 12, 22, 39, 40, 62, 63, 106, 301 and 302  from Newcastle city centre all stop just around the corner. Ask for the New Bridge Street stop, or mention the Tanners pub (the cinema is behind the pub).  There is an area inside the cinema where you can lock up your bike.
